Before you can embed a view-only version of your mural, you'll need to enable embedding for your company or workspace in Mural. The steps to enable embedding differ depending on the type of Mural account you have:

Note: Once an admin enables embedding permissions at the company or workspace level, each mural owner must also enable embedding for their mural.

Enable or disable embedding for your company

For Enterprise customers, you'll enable or disable embedding from your company dashboard.

To enable or disable embedding in an Enterprise plan:

  1. Click your avatar in the top right corner of the Mural screen to open user options.

  2. Select company administration.

  3. Click the General tab in the left sidebar menu.

  4. Click to select or deselect Allow company members to embed murals checkbox.

The setting defaults to the In specific workspaces option with Allow members to embed murals selected. You can also select Do not allow company member to embed murals. Either way, workspace admins have the ability to change this for each workspace.

Note: If you prefer, you can allow embedding in all your company’s workspaces by clicking the Enforced for all workspaces option.

Enable or disable embedding for your workspace

For all other customers outside of an Enterprise plan, you'll enable and disable embedding for at the workspace level. This step can only be done by a workspace admin.

To enable or disable embedding for your workspace:

  1. Click the Workspaces dropdown in the left sidebar menu.

  2. Select Manage [workspace name].

  3. Click the Workspace settings tab in the left sidebar menu.

  4. Click to select or deselect the Allow embedding of murals created in this workspace checkbox.

Changes save automatically. Now, collaborators can embed murals from your workspace! Keep in mind: mural owners will still need to enable embedding in each individual mural.
