You may want to add your mural to your Sharepoint site. The most popular choice is to embed the mural into a Sharepoint page. Another option is to save your mural’s URL in your Sharepoint documents.

Embed a view-only version of your mural on a Sharepoint page

There are two parts to this step. First, you’ll need to copy the embed code from your mural. Then, you’ll paste it into your Sharepoint page.

Note: The view-only version of the mural will become visible to anyone with access to your Sharepoint page, regardless of the mural’s individual permissions in Mural.

To embed a view-only mural on a Sharepoint page:

  1. Click Pages in the left sidebar of Sharepoint.

  2. Open the page you want to add your mural to. Or, create a new page.

  3. Click Edit in the top right corner of the Sharepoint page.

  4. Hover over the area of the page where you want to embed the mural. A plus sign (+) pops up.

  5. Click the plus sign (+) to add a new web part.

  6. Click Embed. (If you haven’t opened the Embed web part yet, you may need to search for it first.)

  7. Click Add embed code.

  8. Paste your mural’s embed code in the Website address or embed code field.

A view-only version of your mural automatically pops up on the Sharepoint page. (You can exit out of the Embed side window.)

Save your mural’s URL to Sharepoint’s documents

This option may be less visibly appealing than embedding a mural directly into a Sharepoint page, but it’s still a great way for your team to keep track of URLs to their murals.

To save your mural’s URL to Sharepoint’s documents:

  1. Click Documents in the left sidebar of your Sharepoint site.

  2. Click + New.

  3. Select Link.

  4. Paste the URL for your mural in the Create link to field. (You can copy this URL directly from the browser or from the Share modal.)

  5. Type a file name for your mural. Make it something clear so teammates can easily tell what the mural is for.

  6. Click Create.

Your mural now shows up under your Sharepoint Documents page. Clicking the file name opens the mural in a new window.
