Open Mural on an interactive display
You can use Mural in one of two ways on an interactive display:
Through the browser (app.mural.co/display) on any interactive display.
Note: If you’re looking for a quick collaborative session, you don’t have to log in when accessing the mural from the interactive display’s browser.
By downloading and opening the Mural for Interactive Display app from the Microsoft store on your Windows interactive display.
Send a mural to an interactive display
From the Mural web app or Mural mobile apps, you can send an existing mural to an interactive display. First, you’ll retrieve a unique 6-digit code. Then, you’ll use that code to access your mural on your interactive display.
Retrieve your 6-digit code
Keep note of this code, as you’ll need to enter it in your web app or mobile app during the next steps.
To get the 6-digit code from your interactive display:
Go to app.mural.co/display on any interactive display device with browser access.
Alternatively, you can open the Mural for Interactive Displays app on the interactive display.
Make note of the 6-digit code. You’ll enter this code on the web app or mobile app in the next steps.

Navigate a mural on an interactive display
The interactive display will have a simplified Mural experience. You can navigate your mural, add content, draw, and collaborate with your team. But, you aren’t able to trigger Facilitation Superpowers® features as a facilitator from the display. (You can, however, trigger these facilitation features from your personal device and still participate in the facilitated session on the display.)
When you go back to the Mural dashboard on your interactive display, you can see all murals you've previously sent to the interactive display. Click on the mural card to switch between sent murals.
Note: If you've cleared your session on the interactive display, your display's view of the Mural dashboard won't show any murals.
Simplified Mural experience
Here are some things to note about using Mural on an interactive display:
Only the murals you send will be available on the interactive display.
The interactive display experience is optimized for touch and pen. Mouse interactions will not work as they do on the web experience.
You aren’t able to trigger Facilitation Superpowers features from the interactive display, but you can still participate in facilitated sessions (timer, voting, private mode).
You won’t be able to send rooms, or create murals.
You can’t add tables to a mural from an interactive display. You can interact with tables in a mural, but only in a limited capacity.
Clear your session
If your interactive display isn’t a personal device, it’s important to clear your Mural session after navigating a sent mural. This will erase all sent content so no one else can access it from the interactive display.
When your ideation session is complete, tap Clear session on your interactive display.
Note: You can only clear the session from within Mural on your interactive display. There’s no way to remotely clear the display’s session from your web app or mobile app.
