Create a new workspace

Collaborate with your organization in a new workspace.


Creating a MURAL workspace is easy. When you sign up, you will be able to join a workspace or create a new one. A new workspace will always have a 30-day free trial period.


If you are already part of a workspace and want to create a new one:

  1. Go to Account Settings, then Workspaces
  2. Click on "Create new workspace" in the end of the list
  3. Name the new workspace and invite collaborators



Alternatively, you can sign up directly at or accept an invitation to join an existing workspace.


We recommend creating a workspace for your entire organization. Name it something broad that will include a lot of people and projects, e.g., "My company" or "My department." A workspace can comfortably have hundreds of members. 


Then, use rooms to separate different workstreams within the organization. Private rooms are by invite only and will not be seen by people who aren't invited to them. Open rooms are public to those members of your workspace that have permission to see open rooms.
