Adding an area to your canvas is only part of the story. Once you have an area, you’ll want to add objects into that area. You can do this by adding each individual object into the area or adding them as a group.
Note: To add locked objects into an area, you must first unlock them.
To add objects into an area:
Add an area if you don’t already have one.
Select the objects you want to add by highlighting them or holding Shift and clicking each object.
Click and drag the objects into your area. The area’s border turns blue to indicate you’re adding the objects.
Tip: You can create a new area from a group of selected objects. First, select all the objects you want in your area. Then, right-click and select Organize into area.
And just like that, your objects are contained by your area. Moving your area will also move your objects. You can also add this area to your outline and use presentation mode to show off your content.
To remove objects from an area:
Select the objects you want to remove by highlighting them or holding Shift and clicking each object.
