Who can share a mural during a meeting?

Currently, only the meeting host can share a mural with the rest of the participants.

If the MURAL App isn’t working, what should I do?

Click on the 3 dots in the top right corner of the Zoom client and choose “Refresh App.” You can also try closing the app and reopening. As a last resort, exit the Zoom meeting and re-enter.

What do I do if meeting participants can’t access the mural I shared?

If there are any issues with meeting participants accessing the mural or if the meeting host is not present to invite everyone to the mural, they can simply follow the directions for the meeting host to access the mural. They will not need to share it once they access it. Here are the steps:

  1. Open the MURAL App from Apps in the Zoom client.

  2. Click “Share a mural.”

  3. Sign in to MURAL (if necessary)

  4. Choose the Workspace and mural and click “Use this mural.”

  5. Start collaborating in the mural!

Can collaborators join the mural from the web or native apps while using it in the MURAL App for Zoom?

Yes, collaborators can access the mural from the web app, iOS app, Android app, Microsoft app, or anywhere else you can access murals. They will appear as a collaborator in the mural.

This is perfect if you want people in a meeting room to collaborate on the mural from their mobile devices or on the go.

How do I access the Facilitation Superpowers? Where are the features usually found in the top bar of MURAL?

The top bar of a mural is hidden until you hover over it. From there you can access, voting, timer, outline, comments, and more. Avatars will appear when there are multiple collaborators in a mural. You can click on your avatar to access features such as summon, take control, and more.

What impact does this have on QEM measures?

Interactions in the MURAL App for Zoom count the same as they would on the web. You must be signed in to your MURAL account. If you are accessing the mural as a visitor, then interactions will not count towards your QEM measures.

What data does the integration share between the apps?

MURAL obtains MeetingId, UserIds, ParticipantIds, and MURAL OAuth Tokens from Zoom for the purposes of the integration. Our app stores only the Zoom user's ID along with the OAuth access and refresh tokens associated with that ID. This is so we don't have to ask the Zoom user to log in every time they want to use the app. This data is deleted when the user uninstalls the app from Zoom. Other data elements are stored temporarily and deleted once the meeting ends.

How do I limit or expand on access on a mural?
Although sharing a mural is done through the integration on Zoom, access and permissions settings are the same ones configured through the MURAL web application. This means that expanding or limiting access or permissions must be done through the web app. When a mural is shared through the Zoom App, participants will choose whether or not they sign in to the workspace or enter as a visitor (if that option is enabled). If you do not wish for participants to sign in as members or create an account, you will have to enable the visitor linkto prompt them to choose the "Sign in as visitor" option.
