Your activity log lists all changes that happen in a mural, starting from the moment it’s created. So, you can review who made the changes and what was added, updated, or removed. You can also recover deleted content.
Note: Visitors cannot view the activity log. Guests can view the activity log if their permissions allow.

What's included in the activity log?
Any object changed by a member, visitor, or guest is tracked in the activity log. You can also review who has interacted with your mural and how. Here are some examples of what the activity feed can show. The activity log keeps track of when:
A collaborator joins, leaves, duplicates, or exports your mural.
A collaborator is removed from your mural.
A collaborator adds, edits, or deletes objects on the canvas.
A facilitator:
Customizes the toolbar.
Starts and ends private mode.
Starts and ends the timer.
Starts and ends a voting session.
And more.
Note: Objects added anonymously during private mode will not be tracked in the activity log.
View the activity log
You can check out the activity log at any time from the top menu bar of your canvas.
To open and view the activity log:
Scroll through your activity feed to see who made changes to the mural and when. Click on an item in the activity log to be taken to that spot in the mural.
Recover deleted content from the activity log
Let's say that you or someone from your team accidentally deletes content. No worries! You can recover your content directly from the activity log.
To recover deleted content from the activity log:
Click the three-dot menu icon in the top bar of your mural.
Select Activity to open the activity log.
Scroll through the log to find the deleted content you want to recover.
Click Recover next to the log entry for the deleted object(s).
Mural will undo the deletion and move you to the spot on the canvas with those recovered objects!
If you check the activity log again, the line item for the deletion will have the word "Recovered" next to it:
Activity log after you remove a collaborator
Let's say a member or guest made changes to your mural, but they've since been removed from your mural. How does past activity look on the activity log?
Here's the workflow for this use case, with a collaborator we'll call "Giulia."
Member and guest status | How the activity log looks |
Before you remove Giulia from your mural, her name shows in your activity log. | |
After you remove Giulia from your mural, her activity still shows. But, instead of her name, you'll see a random visitor display name. |
Note: If you remove a member or guest from your mural, they can still access your mural as a visitor if they have access to a visitor link. To completely stop someone from accessing a mural, remove them as a member or guest and reset the visitor link. View our article on how to reset a visitor link.
